Hey guys! Hope you had a terrific weekend! Ours was wonderful! We had a great time tailgating with friends for the big SEC game and of course it didn’t hurt that we were able to avenge our loss to Auburn #SECchamps. And, we finally got our tree and decorations up this weekend. I wasn’t able to photograph it before the sun went down, but I’ll do it next weekend. I’m a very traditional Christmas decorator, using a lot of stuff that has been in both of our families for quite awhile, so you won’t see anything earth-shattering with my Christmas decor anyway.
Now, on to Monday, Monday!

I love Emily A. Clark, and I totally ripped this off of her Saturday 6 from this past weekend, but I loved this article from Gray Malin on what is trending in design right now. It always tickles me to hear and read about design trends from different designers, because so many times they contradict each other (shiplap-is it in or out? We’ll never know!!!!!) but this one seemed to be pretty on target. I especially loved their take on vintage items-since you guys know I’m all about mixing my sentimental items with the newer stuff I love.
Pin of the Week
That pink nutcracker with those cute little bottlebrush trees! Gah at the cuteness!
We’re getting to the time of year when it’s always drafty in our old house. And I’m always looking for a throw. So, here’s what I’ve been looking at lately. And nearly had a heart attack when I saw the cost of this Serena and Lily throw:
I’m sure it’s super warm and all but good gracious. Is it sewn with angel tears?
Honestly, you want to see what I’m really lusting after? It’s this one, from Anthro:
I have no Lo for that though because it’s pretty much one of a kind from what I can tell. I just love it, and it would be perfect in our living room, but I can’t make myself pull the trigger on it. It’s just too hard to drop that kind of money on myself when we’re spending so much at Christmas, know what I mean?
Real Estate Spy
I’m highlighting a home in Eatonton Georgia today, beautiful, historic, and only $75,000!
It clearly needs some renovation (you guys just expect that from me now, right?) but think how absolutely breathtaking it would be when complete.
I’ll see you back here tomorrow with a super easy and fun way to make Christmas ornaments! Hope you have the best Monday!
