Hi guys! Today I want to share some beautiful and functional workrooms with you.
You’ve heard me mention how talented and creative my mom is before. A few months ago, my siblings and I (I’m the oldest of 5) got together and helped her turn her large laundry room into an office space/craft room that she can use for her small business. She has a Cricut, and she’s crazy talented with that thing. She can make anything, and she always has a million projects and orders in the works. Well, she’s already outgrown that space. Like I hadn’t even photographed it yet because we hadn’t even really finished with the functional part of it and moved onto the pretty, and she’s already busting at the seams in there. So now, we need to move on to a bigger space.
Luckily, she has a large sunroom that is the perfect candidate! The thing is, before, we went for a kind of sweet, craft room feel. This time, we want to try something different with the design. Mom kind of has a tropical vibe in there now, and it looks out onto their pool and patio area. While we won’t be able to get away from the fact that this will be a functional space for her to work and create, we both want it to be beautiful. It will be more of a studio or workroom than the craft room that she had before.
This is the feeling that we’re going for.
Beautiful workrooms for the creative
This is my absolute favorite, the one that I’m using as my inspiration pic for her workroom.
Beautiful, right? But I also love these spaces as well:
What a cozy space!
Mom’s room has brick floors, and I love how this one combines the wood, brick, and black accents.
I think this one would look great with the backyard elements. It just looks like a room that would serve as a good transition space, which this room would.
I don’t know how much my mom’s style this is, but there’s something about the simplicity of this workroom that is so inspiring!
I’m drawn to this space because it looks both beautiful and incredibly functional. Mom would love it.
Just stop it with the black trim! Love it. Wonder if I could convince Mom to do that?
Really, I just love this desk.
So you can tell there are definitely some elements in common that I love. The kind of rustic wooden elements, some black accents, simple decor, and light and bright. I think this will result in a fantastic workspace that will also blend beautifully with the rest of her home.
We’re planning to get started sometime after Christmas. Mom lives 3 hours away, so it will be a little slow going, but we’ll get it done! I’ll keep you posted!
Beth, after looking at all of these beautiful spaces, now I want them all… Can we do that????
love,
mom
Sure! How many rooms ya got? 😉
