Hey! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas!
We had an awesome time. Beau has been asking to see Savannah all dressed up for Christmas, so we headed down there for a few days at the end of last week after the boys got out of school. It was beautiful, of course (Savannah never disappoints) and such a great time of year to go! Downtown was decorated beautifully, and when we walked downtown and the squares at night, it was just magical. We didn’t have an agenda- mostly just slept late, ate great food, and walked around. It was so nice to just disconnect and be together.
I forgot my good camera, which always makes me totally uninspired to take pictures, but here are a couple that I got:
I have a few more, but for some reason my phone won’t transfer them (eye roll).
We spent Saturday celebrating Christmas with my family, and spent Christmas Eve with Michael’s, and Christmas Day with just us, for the first time ever.
There’s something amazing about spending Christmas Day with just your family. No traveling and no entertaining- just hanging out, snuggling, napping, playing, watching TV (Christmas Story 24/7), etc. Dare I say, it might have been the best Christmas ever!
Okay, also wanted to talk about some plans for the blog going forward.
I know I’ve switched up the posting schedule a little bit. It’s been harder to maintain the 3 times a week than I thought it would be, especially now because work is completely crazy. I usually reserve mornings before work for blog time and catch up on any leftover “day job” work after work (lovely, right?), but it’s been so busy at work lately that I’ve been having to spend a lot of what was my blogging time on work-work. I keep hoping this is just a phase, but I honestly think it’s not going to get better any time soon.
So, I need to cut down to twice a week to post. I’m cutting out Monday, Monday unless I just have some free time for a random post. I’m going back to a Tuesday/Thursday blogging schedule that I had before I added in the Monday, Mondays.
And, for a few weeks, one of those weekly posts is going to be about blogging resources. I’ve had a few questions about getting started, and since it was this time last year when I took the leap, I figure that maybe a resource page with a few posts on getting started would be helpful.
One more thing…I know I owe you guys a post about the hardware on the bookcases! Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten. The thing is…two of them broke #bigfatfail So I need to figure out a better way and then I’ll post.
Whew! I think that’s it. I’ll see you guys back here on Thursday!
