Hey guys! I came across an image on Pinterest the other day that I was super inspired by- this light and bright coastal entryway:
(The original article is from Bria Hammel Interiors, and features a truly beautiful home tour you have to see!)
Isn’t it just gorgeous? I love the mix of textures (the basket, lamp and lampshade, and of course, the shiplap) and the coastal inspired look that would work in a transitional or farmhouse look as well. I thought it would be a great space for my next Make it Happen for $1000 post!
But the best thing happened- I was able to source pretty close knock-offs for everything in the photo for less than $400! That includes the console table- which came in under $100! It’s on Amazon and has tons of fantastic 5 star reviews!
Here’s how I did it.

The biggest challenge for this coastal entry?
The lamp! Finding a lamp that has that much detail in the shade and base that doesn’t break the bank is haaaard. In fact, my first choice- here– was nearly (gulp) $500! That would never happen in our house (sure is beautiful though). The trick? If you are trying to save money on lamps, usually it’s easier to find an affordable detailed base than a shade.
The best deals I found were…
I’m linking everything below, but they were, hands down, the mirror and the console table. I couldn’t believe how inexpensive both were! If you’re in the market for either- check ’em out!

The total for everything came in at $391.82 (that includes two of the tree branches)! Not bad, right?
Hope you have a wonderful weekend! And Happy March!
