Hey guys, hope y’all are having a great week! So it’s been a busy one…
What’s up this week
Finished our master closet for the $100 Room Challenge! It is just an entirely different experience to walk into this space now- so fresh and pretty! And I spent less than $50!
I absolutely cannot wait to read through all of the reveals from the other bloggers! I’m always so surprised at what they can get done for less than $100!
What I’m learning this week
I’m really trying to improve on my photography. Since starting this blog, I’ve learned so much and have gone from hating to take pictures to loving it! I’ve been taking some online courses and researching all that I can. But holy moly taking pictures of my dark closet trying to use just natural light kicked my butt. And showed me just how much I have to learn.
What I tried this week
I have super sensitive skin that will break out on a dime. I’ve been using BeautyCounter make up and facial cleanser for a couple of years and really like them- they’re all natural and don’t bother my skin at all. But, I just can’t justify paying how much they cost anymore. I’m on a teacher’s salary now, after all 😉
So I’ve been on the lookout for products that are good for my skin but won’t break the bank, and I’ve found a new to me face wash that I love! It’s this Neutrogena face wash. (That’s an affiliate link). It cleans your face so well and leaves it feeling super soft. I’ve been using it a couple of weeks now and my skin looks and feels so much better!
Favorite pin this week
Did y’all know you can paint your stand mixer?
I’m kind of dying to try this, but would never on the one I have, which is vintage (it was my grandmother’s, probably as old as me, and I still use it all the time). But if I had a newer one that I wanted to add some color to I would do it in a heartbeat!
My next project
Y’all remember Beau’s room, which I thought was done?
He won’t sleep in his bed because it just gets too hot. It really is amazing the temperature difference just a few feet up.
Sigh. It’s the room makeover that never ends.
So I’m going to be trying to figure that out this weekend. I have a feeling we’ll be rednecking it with a mattress on the floor.
Hope you guys have a great weekend!
